New Looks on Monkey Fact Monday!

Monkey Fact Monday is back and this week I thought it would be cool to check out some monkeys that look a little different from other monkeys! There are so many different kinds of monkeys out there! It was really hard to pick out only three to show you!

 
The first monkey I found looks like a monkey that would be able to smell you from very far away! xD It is called the Proboscis Monkey! The males have pretty big noses, as you can see! The females also have large noses, but not quite as big as the males. They look pretty different, don't you think? What do you think their big nose is for?

Next up we have an Emperor Tamarin! I picked this monkey because they remind me of monkeys who get white hair on MiniMonos when an Ambassador says "go crazy!" They get the emperor part of their name because they were named after a German emperor named Wilhem II! I guess he had a fairly impressive mustache! @(^_^)@

And lastly I found a really brightly colored monkey which also happens to be Alphamonkey's favorite monkey! Yep! It's called the Red-Shanked Douc. The color of their fur makes it look like they're wearing clothes! This monkey is really awesome to me because they are generous like MiniMonos monkeys are - sharing food with other monkeys is a common habit for them! Very cool!
