Monkey Fact Monday: Golden Snub-nosed Monkey!

Hi, monkeys! Minimomo here. It's my first time writing on the Go Bananas blog!
After reading last week's cool Monkey Fact Monday post, I went looking for some other monkeys that look really cool! I found one called the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey! I picked this monkey because I liked their blue faces - they look like they're wearing little masks! Can you see where they get their name from? Hehe!
800px-Golden_Snub-nosed_Monkeys They usually live in forests that are in the mountains in central China. There are only around 8,000-15,000 of these monkeys left in the wild.
One really cool thing about them is that they can live in very cold temperatures! Much colder ones than we could live in. Sometimes they are also called the Golden Monkey because of their fur color. One very famous tale in China is about a Golden Snub-nosed Monkey named Sunwukong or the Monkey King!
The boy monkeys are often bigger than the girl monkeys and they can live in very large groups! Like many other monkeys, the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey spends most of its time in trees.
I hope you liked my post about these really awesome monkeys!!
Best bananas,

Hehe these monkeys are really beautiful! Their faces are such a cool color. Unfortunately they're endangered due to habitat loss - these monkeys are very dependent on their surroundings for food! It's so important for people to reuse and recycle what they can to help animals like these monkeys! Thank you for writing about them and helping us with Monkey Fact Monday, Minimomo! - Manx
