Einstein's eco-fact episode #2

Hey Monkeys!
EinsteinDo you know about the largest ever solar-powered boat, which was designed in New Zealand?  It's looking to be the first of it's kind to circumnavigate the world just using solar power!

This boat can go up to 200 kilometers a day and I think this boat is really cool because it's very environmentally friendly and it uses clean energy with 540 square meters of solar panels!! Check it out:

Solar powered boat monkey fact monday go bananas blog.
Did you know that this huge boat can run on just 20 kilowatts? That's about the same electricity to light 200 light bulbs! How bananamazing!! The rest of the solar energy captured, is stored in batteries to use later.
I think there could be more solar-powered devices in the future… do you?
Best Bananas,
~Snelly!! :D
Thanks for the awesome post, Snelly!  I'm excited that this boat's designers now want to design ferries which carry people, using the same sort of solar-power! Imagine if all ferries were this environmentally friendly! --EcoMom
