Well...If you click on it, it will come up with a whole bunch of cool emotions!

You may also have noticed new xPowers in Einsteins Lab! The new xPowers include:

These powers are in celebration of 4th of July coming soon!

MiniMonos also updated their printable invite cards! Check them out by clicking on your monkey's journal and then clicking on the top tab, and click on the green 'Invite Cards' button!

MiniMonos has added ANOTHER awesome feature! You can get a silver ticket on the Bonus Bash in the Info Centre, by instant messaging your friends!

At the Bonus Bash machine, click on the tickets and follow the instructions to get a ticket. You can log in to your Yahoo, MSN, AIM, GTalk and/or ICQ account, and message somebody about joining MiniMonos! When your friend signs up and says your monkey invited them, you get a FREE SILVER TICKET!

MiniMonos Mogger Highlight!

Hey Moggers! I have been going through the MiniMonos blogs this week and noticed something really cool that MiniMonos Island did!

MiniMonos Island is owned by Sonic4572 and Mattybon who wrote a post on their site, where for every comment it got, Mattybon donated 20 cents to help the victims of the floods and tornados that recently struck the United States!

One of our own players on MiniMonos, MiniJghRocks, was affected by this tornado -- his family lost their whole house! We're so impressed that he is still smiling and positive on MiniMonos!

This was really kind and generous of Mattybon and Sonic and we think they both deserve a monkey high-five! It's monkeys like you that really make a difference!

Einstein's eco-fact episode #2

Hey Monkeys!

Do you know about the largest ever solar-powered boat, which was designed in New Zealand? It's looking to be the first of it's kind to circumnavigate the world just using solar power!

This boat can go up to 200 kilometers a day and I think this boat is really cool because it's very environmentally friendly and it uses clean energy with 540 square meters of solar panels!! Check it out:

Did you know that this huge boat can run on just 20 kilowatts? That's about the same electricity to light 200 light bulbs! How bananamazing!! The rest of the solar energy captured, is stored in batteries to use later.

I think there could be more solar-powered devices in the future… do you?

Monkey Fact Monday: Similarities between monkeys and us!

Have you ever wondered how similar we are to monkeys? Monkeys are very close to us humans in the animal world!

There are so many things that monkeys can do just like us. They have opposable thumbs, they eat with their hands and some can even communicate with people (in different ways than talking!).

If you're like me, you love to climb trees. This is something many species of monkeys are known for! Us MiniMonos monkeys live in treehouses ourselves! Haha.

I found the perfect tree today, and just had to climb it:

Monkeys love to swing and hang off trees, swinging on branches and rolling in the grass, or just grooming each other!

Monkeys are incredibly intelligent. As I have posted about before, there is actually a monkey who has learned sign language! He's super cool. :-)

Monkeys also use a lot of available resources in their day-to-day lives, just like us humans. They even know how to use some basic tools, unlike nearly every other animal!

Just like monkeys, you and I have parents until we are ready to leave the home and start our own life. This might not be until we are 18 or older, but for some monkeys its only a few years -- maybe even as young as 2 years!

Overall, we are very similar to monkeys. I had a great time with this post! Enjoy your week monkeys! ^.^

You may not know this... but EcoMom goes through every fansite each week for her weekly report to the MiniMonos team! Clearly, our moggers are really important to us and we really value all of your hard work! So, I decided to host a new program calledMiniMonos Mogger Of The Month!
What does this mean? Well, each month I will chose a MiniMonos fanblog that shows several qualities such as : creativity, content, and fun! Whether your blog has 50 views or 5 million views, as long as you are on the Blogroll of Honor and Awesomeness then you have the ability to be chosen as MOTM!

Hey Monkeys!

It's October and Halloween is on its way. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I know a lot of you monkeys enjoy Halloween too! Lately, a lot of monkeys have been asking me if i am going to be having a Halloween party and the answer is YES! I am going to be having a Halloween party the day before Halloween, because obviously on the actual day of Halloween you'll be Trick o' treating getting CANDY! Anyways, check out the invitation below for details!

The party is going to be huge and tons of fun! We will play games and tons more just like we did at my last party. Banana Chips and Shells will be given away to some lucky monkeys! New Updates Growing on MiniMonos!

Hey Monkeys! Reo here! Just posting about the awesome new updates on Minimonos!

First of all we can now buy powers with shells! How cool is that? Take a look:

There is a new tab in your player journal where you can view how many xpowers you have left!

The powers will be great to use for parties that you host on MiniMonos, don't you think? :-)

Also, the new game has been released!! Grow is the newest game to minimonos! To play it, you go visit Bea next to the Compost Zone! There is a new button on our map that looks like a berry that you can click to get there, too.

You have to make a path for all the plants to grow buy clicking on squares! If you clear all the squares in 22 or less moves, you get your berries to grow! Sounds easy but its harder than it sounds!

If you have compost from playing TicTacPoo, I think you have an easier time, but I haven't tried it yet! Also, I've heard that you can sell your berries to Bea but if you don't do that within a week they go bad.

There are a few cool new things in Butterfly Meadow, too! Check it out!

Cool isnt it? There's a new juice stand! There's also new butterflies fluttering around - they're too fast to catch though! Lol!

You can also have a picnic next to Bea's Veg'n'Juice stand on the new colorful picnic blankets! There are even picnic baskets there, too. They're awesome!

I love these new updates and I'm already saving up to buy more shells so I can get more powers! How about you? Gotta go grow some berries in the new Grow game now! Hope you liked my post!

Wow! Check this out monkeys! We discovered one of our monkeys telling another monkey a very cool story about an adventure he invented on MiniMonos! So we asked him to start sharing his amazing story with you! --EcoMom

Hello monkeys! This is Hi speaking! I am going to announce a new post coming to THIS blog which might even be a series! These posts are called.. PLANET PIE!

What??? What in the world is planet pie? Well, these stories are about Mutt and his adventures on PLANET PIE! These are fun stories created by me, and the artwork that you will see is by my good friend, MiniJghRocks! Now I need to tell you some of what you need to know about these stories!

Characters:

Mutt -- He loves pie.... and he has many adventures on... PLANET PIE!

Einstien - Einstein is a GENIOUS! He sometimes helps Mutt.

Bulby - Oracle Monkey's friend, is a troublemaker, but has fun!

(There are going to be more characters, but these are the main ones).

This is going to be TONS OF FUN!! Once again, I hope you love the stories! :D

Ya know what? I think Im posting... STORY NUMBER ONE RIGHT NOW!!!! Here we go...

"Wow this sure is a beautiful night!" stated the Oracle Monkey. " I have to look at all these stars!" he said, getting out his telescope. "Lets see... where is that wonderful star...? Nope not here, not there...What in the world? What is this star...? No its a planet! It looks like... PIE!?" he shouted.

A week later, the Oracle was doing some research, sitting on a rock on Long Beach. Another monkey was playing tag, looking back at his friend, and wasn't watching where he was going. He tripped over a rock and pushed the Oracle Monkey off the rock he was sitting on. As he stumbled to his feet, The Oracle looked at the spot where he had been sitting. He saw a passage underneath the rock!! He climbed under, and found himself walking down amongst many passages.

The Oracle looked from right to left, up and down, wondering what this place was, and walked right into a strange machine! "Ouch! What could this machine be?" He said after he bumped into it. While he was looking at it, a monkey from the shadows came forth. "I see you have spotted the special Pie Machine.." said Einstein.

" What is this thing?" The Oracle asked curiously.

"That would be a pie machine. It used to get to a special world, but no one who has seen this machine has figured out how to power it up." said Einstein. The Oracle, who was very wise, had an idea about how to power it. "If it is a pie machine to lead to another world, then wouldn't you power it with pie?" He asked excitedly.

"Oh yes! You would! Oh I can't wait till this gets powered up! It will be very cool!" Einstein said, ready to explode with excitement. "But wait! Where are the pies that go to the portal?"

"We shall see very soon...." The Oracle said.

As you know, I have been looking around for the funniest monkeys on MiniMonos island. Every other week I will do a post revealing some of the funniest monkeys I have come across. This past week a lot of monkeys have been telling me jokes and it was really hard to pick the best ones! Minimonos Monkey Fact Monday: Monkey Habitats

Hey everymonkey!

I have an awesome Monday Fact Monday post for you guys! It's all about monkey habitats.

As you probably know, monkeys really love being near trees, or in trees! Most monkey's, spend their time in trees, swinging from tree branch to tree branch or looking for food up in the trees! They especially love tropical rainforests, although some kinds of monkeys do live on plains or grasslands. New World monkeys really like rainforests, while Old World monkeys can be found in different kinds of forests, or up in mountains.

Regardless of where they live, monkeys play an important role in the ecology of their habitat! They help spread seeds when they eat fruit, because the seeds go undigested and come back out in the form of...well, you should go play TicTacPoo and find out!

There is one rainforest that New World monkey especially love. Can you guess which one????? YES! You're right - the Amazon Rainforest! It is a perfect place for monkeys because of the tropical temperatures and different types of trees!

MiniMonos members adopt another orangutan!

Hey Monkeys! Calypso here with some very EXCITING NEWS!

As some of you know, after adopting our first orangutan baby called Monti at MiniMonos, we have all been saving up to adopt an orangutan named Kesi from Orangutan Outreach. The goal was to reach 250 Gold memberships and today we reached that goal!

The 250th Gold Membership was purchased by a monkey named Magpie! If you see her on MiniMonos Island, you should definitely give her a monkey high-5!

Kesi is very special and very strong-hearted. She had her hand chopped off when plantation workers killed her mother with a machete. Now she is 5 years old and Kesi is an excellent role model for newly arrived orphans, at the forest school, where she lives.

Some of our alpha monkey members may remember that we had a big vote between adopting Kesi or adopting Monti first. Monti was the winner by only 4 VOTES! If you haven't seen the older posts about this, check them out here:
